Hemingway’s Camp sits on 250 square kilometres of prime wilderness in Kilimanjaro, Tanzania, which has been leased from the local Maasai people. In return, they receive bednight fees, annual lease payments and employment at the camp, making the Hemingway’s Camp beneficial to all. With the help of generous guests and the support and funding from key groups, Hemingway’s Camp has provided funding for school class rooms and teacher houses for the local people.
