Sasakwa Hill Lodge is situated in the Grumeti Reserve, Serengeti, north-western Tanzania, and forms part of the Western Corridor of the Serengeti-Mara ecosystem, bordering the Serengeti National Park.
The Grumeti Reserve in the Serengeti, Tanzania, stretches across about 140 000 hectares / 350 000 acres of beautiful untouched wilderness. This area boasts an amazing array of 500 species of bird, including a high concentration of raptors, 30 species of herbivores and 24 species of large carnivores.
This Tanzanian reserve in Serengeti National Park is home to varying habitats including grass pains, rugged rocky outcrops, woodland and riverine forests. In the dry season the Grumeti River offers life sustaining water which ensures amazing wildlife all year round.

- Flying time from Kilimanjaro International Airport is one and a half hours.
- Flying time from Arusha Airport is 1 hour 15 minutes.
- Road transfer from Arusha is approximately 8 hours.
- Scheduled flights with regional Air land twice daily on the Sasakwa Airstrip, located 10 minutes from Sasakwa Lodge.
- Private charters are available into Sasakwa Airstrip.
- Road transfers from Seronera Airstrip can be arranged at an additional charge - to allow for Serengeti National Park fees - the driving time is 2 and a half hours.
